Behind Every Door is a Story

Did you know that in the United States, nearly half (45%) of single mothers and their children live below the poverty level?

In the Tampa Bay area, rent has gone up 35% in the past 5 years. This has caused working single moms to resort to living out of their cars or on someone’s couch.

At Shepherd’s Village, we receive over 100 calls a month from moms desperate and in despair on the verge of being evicted from their long-term residencies.

We may not be able to put a roof over all their heads, but we can put hope in their heart.

Below is the story behind door #1, Sarah.

Can you help us get single moms living out of their cars and into a home?
